Our statement of Faith
- The King James Bible, translated directly from the Received Text, is the inspired, infallible, and
based on erroneous texts and are attacks by the devil on God's Holy Word. The miracles recorded in the
Bible are real. The Bible is to be interpreted literally as read.
The Bible teaches that God is a trinity, revealed as God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
(1 John 5:7). The members of the Godhead are distinct and equal.
All men have fallen short of the glory of God. (Rom. 3:23) We are all sinners and need a Savior.
Salvation is by faith in the shed blood of Jesus through His free gift of grace to all that trust in Him
(Eph. 2:8-9). All our attempts to earn Heaven by doing good deeds are viewed by God as filthy rags
and are not accepted in His sight. The only atonement for our sins that God accepts is the sacrifice that
Jesus made on the cross and His shed blood. Jesus died a real physical death on the cross and rose again physically and victoriously the third day (Matt. 28:6-7) Jesus said He is the only way to God (John 14:6) and that we must be born-again to be saved from the penalty of our sin (John 3:3). As believers we are indwelt
and sealed by the Holy Spirit who guides, comforts, teaches, and empowers us to witness and live for
Christ. Saving faith is a faith that produces good works in our life,
the evidence of salvation (James2:14-26, John 14:15, Eph 2:8-10).
We hold to Biblical separation of Church and State, meaning the church is not to be entangled with the State
and the State does not control the church. Jesus is the Head of the Church and His blood bought body is not a corporation or a tax agent for the State. Therefore Family Baptist Church is not a 501c3 tax exempt non-profit business or corporation, we are a real church as defined by the Bible and recognized by the government code 508-c1a and therefore untaxable or tax free. We do not have business meetings with corporate notes,we do not have trustees, we do not have have a treasurer, president, or secretary. Which are not in scripture. We do have a pastor and deacons as the Bible states plainly as offices in the local church (1 Tim 3, Titus 1:5-9).
All Christians are commanded to live separated lives unto Him, gather in fellowship together, and to be evangelistic, obeying the Great Commission (Heb 10:24-26, Matt. 28:18-20).
All Christians are called to love each other and love our enemies and pray for them.
Hell is a very terrible and very real place (Matt. 5:29-30). Satan and his angels are real and
working against God and His Kingdom (Matt. 12:25-26).
The Earth was created by God in six literal days, as He says over and over in His Word and
Jesus states plainly (Gen 1-3). Evolution is a false, bully religion of death that hurts people and should not receive taxpayer funding to be taught to children in schools. The evidence of creation is all around us, including the laws of physics and mathematics so that no one can claim they didn’t know there is a God. (Rom 1)
Parents are responsible for their children being brought-up in the nurture and admonition of the
Lord and are to protect them from the evil of this world and instruct them in ways of the Lord (Gen 18:19, Pro. 22:6). Jesus is coming soon to take His bride back to His Father's house in Heaven, known as the
Rapture of the Church (John 14:1-3, 1 Thes. 4:17-18, Rev. 4:1). Then the Bible teaches that Jesus is
coming back again to reign as King of the world from Jerusalem for one thousand years (the Millennial kingdom). After this is the Great White Thronejudgment and the eternal separation of lost people from God forever in the lake of fire (Rev. 20:12-15).
